As most people indicated the petals arrived stuck together and with a slight chemical smell. In order to handle both issues I placed the petals in a sink full of warm water along with some clothes detergent. I allowed them to soak for a few minutes and then began the process of pulling the petals a part. Since they were wet I was able to use my thumb and index finger to take them a part easily. Once done taking them a part (approximately 20 min) I placed them all into a pillow case, added a fabric softener sheet and dried on medium heat for approximately 30-40 minutes. The chemical smell, although faint in the beginning, is now non existent. I searched a lot of similar products, but all of them have kinds of drawbacks. I give this one five stars because they look so real which definitely worth the price. Since they all are stick together, you will need to take some time to separate them one by one. I spent around one hour to separate two bags of them. The drawback is that they smell like fish, but for me, the smell is acceptable, it does not as someone said, the whole room will get affected by the smell. I soaked them in the water with body wash for around 10 minutes, then clean them up and dry them on the table, until they became totally dry, I spray perfume to make them smell nicer.
