It matches so well with the other antique ceiling fixtures that were in the house. It makes the area bright and absolutely is beautiful. My husband especially likes that it drops from the ceiling just enough to let him see the bronze fixture. It was the perfect light to give an updated look without taking away the charm of the other old ceiling lights. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Decent Quality Fixture with Classic Styling *by V***O on Reviewed in the United States on December 22, 2022* This light does not feature any plastic bases or "mounts" as one reviewer said (so don't worry about that), but the frosted glass part is sprayed on, as are most light fixtures with frosted glass these days. But you could tell it was sprayed on just by looking at the pictures here on Amazon...you didn't have to buy the light and then return it and complain about it. But I will admit that the sprayed-on frosting was inexpertly applied, so I docked my review by one star for that. But it was good enough that I didn't feel like returning it.So I put it up (it was easy to install and very standardized) and I think it looks quite nice. Note that the base I have on the ceiling is an 8-inch piece of circular wood that I spray painted "oil-rubbed bronze." The spray paint didn't match the fixture perfectly, but that's my problem, not the light manufacturer's. The color of the fixture is actually very nice. I needed the extra base because it simplified the external wiring I had to install to connect electricity to the fixture.I bought this from a "different seller" here on Amazon because it was much cheaper than the usual price. It had apparently been a fixture that had been returned for whatever reason, but it came well packaged in the original manufacturer's box with styrofoam protection, and that was packed inside ANOTHER shipping box. There was zero damage to any parts of the fixture and no missing parts. I paid way under half of what this normally costs, even on sale. You can't always count on buying this way, but I figured it was worth the risk (I could always return it) and I saved a lot of money.It's a really nice light. Frosting could be better, sure, but no plastic structural parts for heaven's sake.
