But it reached a time I did in fact, It served its purpose of underwater casing and external protection. But yet again as I experienced more with the gopro I started buying underwater filters, and the very good ones have an attachment only for this case. I was thinking if it was really worth it, and as I started thinking more and more, I thought "screw it let's buy it since the price dropped to 16. So when I got it my inicial though was "wow.. This is really solid!!" yes, it's plastic but a very solid very well designed one! And works beautifully!So, is it worth paying more for an authentic housing case? No doubt! This solid piece of gear will last you a long time!Works as described. However the pins in the hinge started to rust after a couple days even after cleaning with fresh water. Most of the case scratches easy, however to case in front of the lense is a lot more scratch resistant.
