Fog is hot therefore melting the ice more quickly than the ice would on its on. Do not connect the chiller to the fog machine or you'll get little output. Leave a 3 inch gap for air flow and you'll get as much fog as your fogger produces. **Q: Can you use Dry ice in this fogger? Which would work best regular ice or dry ice?** A: Hello! You can use a little dry ice in conjunction with ice, but using just dry ice could bust the chiller. I recommend just using regular ice and mix a little rock salt in the ice to lower the cooling temp. **Q: What happens if you use a fog machine when a cfm higher than 10,000 with this chiller** A: I believe it depends on the watts of your fog machine. The more watts the more the fog machine will put out,the more cfm. I own a vortex chiller and i have a 1000watt fog machine, but i use it outside on my halloween cemetary set up. I have never actually tnought about measuring the cfm.
