Operates just like a gun lock, but with a perfect length and a more robust cable that I doubt could be defeated with a common side-cutters. I realize that these locks only keep honest people honest, and a thief with the right equipment could easily defeat it. The bulk of the lock itself though would be better if it was covered with the same clear plastic as on the cable.
