I used to start all seedlings in those tiny square Jiffy type starter pots and still do actually start tomatoes and peppers in the larger round Jiffy pots, transferring them to these pots when they get to be about 4 - 5" tall. By then their roots have reach a stage of needing more space which these pots provide. For just about anything else .. like starting silver sage or sand sage from seeds .. I fill 3/4 of these pots with good quality potting soil and 1/4 seed starter on the top.Ah yes, the pots themselves?
