Neem is a natural antifungal herb. That is why I love this shampoo and after using for a month (once a week) any sign of itchy scalp is typically non-existent. My scalp feels clean with Theraneem. The smell is extremely herbal and neem has a naturally unpleasant smell, so dont be shocked if you get this and youre not used to the different scents from different herbs. It doesn't bother me because Im not using shampoo for the way it smells. Im using it for the herbal benefits which I love. I have not tried the conditioner yet but I need to. This shampoo must be used in conjunction with a conditioner, because the conditioner is what will make your hair soft and manageable.
