I put this on a 6" bench grinder and appreciate that the wheel is decently balanced, such that it causes minimum vibration when running. The fine wire is perfect for stripping calcium deposits and polishing metal threads and fittings, and for removing paint and rust from most metal surfaces. This fits both 1/2" and 5/8" shafts; there is a plastic bushing that reduces the 5/8" opening to 1/2". It's important that you slide the wheel onto the grinder with the open side facing out, or the bushing will slide off the wire wheel when you install. Virtually all wheels come with this bushing, and I recommend hanging on to the ones from old wheels, just in case you lose one or need. I'm very satisfied with this purchase, and am glad that I saved a few dollars by not buying a larger name brand.
