I've been on and off over the last year because I just couldn't stay motivated. So I decided to get a ketone breath meter. I used to have a blood meter but needles freak me out. Plus the strips are quite expensive. This meter uses the ketones found in your funky keto breath. I'm not sure of the accuracy as I don't have anything to compare to. The first time I did a reading, it said 0.00 😭😭 turns out I did it wrong. When you blow, you have to make sure there is a perfect seal around the mouth piece. And you need to blow hard, but not too hard. When I did it the second time, it chimed differently after the 'blow' period. So I definitely did it wrong the first time. My second reading picked up ketones. The one thing I don't like is the countdown time. Every time you do a new reading, it counts down from 20 which seems really excessive. I'll keep logging my results to see if there's any change. And if I get a chance to compare to a different meter, I will update this review. But so far, seems to work. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Blow harder to get a reading *by T***L on Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2020* When I first got it, I was blowing into it and kept coming up 0.0 think I wasn't in ketosis yet, but after about 4-5 times getting the same reading I figured there must be something wrong with the unit. I was starting to think there was something wrong with the unit and decided to give it another try, but this time I blew a lot harder than before, that's when I heard another beep telling me I was good and finally got a reading of 1.4 signifying I was in ketosis. Now after waiting the 20 second warmupi blow into the unit until I hear another beep telling me I was good, and then would get a reading. So, if your having problems getting a reading try blowing harder until you hear another beep to get a reading, works Everytime now. ### ⭐⭐⭐ After purchasing this one, I would try a different Keton meter. *by S***. on Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2020* This Ketone meter is very fussy. It also goes the two (2) twenty second cycles each time you want to use it.
