A: Tesla Batteries a.s. and Tesla Motors completely different company. 

Tesla Batteries a.s. do have Battery for consumer electronics and batteries made in Belgium and China.

**Q: Are these any better / just as good as Duracell or is it just marketing the Tesla name?**
A: Capacity of battery and technical performance is the answer, plus shelf life is also important.  

Gold+ series are the max capacity alkaline batteries by technology today.   

Tesla Gold+ premium range batteries are the longest lasting and best for high drain devices.

**Q: is that the same battery on model Y?**
A: AA Alkaline Gold+ Tesla batteries are common in portable electronic devices. An AA battery is composed of a single electrochemical cell that may be either a primary battery (disposable) or a rechargeable battery. Several different chemistries are used in their construction. The exact terminal voltage, capacity and practical discharge rates depend on cell chemistry; however, devices designed for AA cells will usually only take 1.2–1.5 V.

This is not for EV battery.

A: Alkaline types Gold+, Silver+, Toys+ not rechargeable, but in March chargeable NiMH batteries will be introduced.
