Depth is just above 3 inches (79mm). **Q: Does it come with the batteries fitted?** A: Set of batteries in box with it **Q: Is it fitted with strap buttons?** A: Yes. **Q: Given the tuning,is the chord shapes as for a normal 6 string guitar** A: Some are the same, some are different, If you use a standard DGBE tuning then this is exactly the same as the top 4 (by pitch) strings of a guitar. Guitar chords based on these strings will work. But many guitar chords rely on notes from the E and A strings. As you don't have these strings you need to learn a few new shapes.
