The color, Living Coral, also caught my eye. And the length, I am 5'4 with shorter legs so these land perfectly for me. Now I have seen those reviews with the banged up, cheap claims. One held up a pair of these in this color but you could see through them, they were kind of threadbare. Not the same product, no way no how. Definitely not any kind of twill known to man. And they are soft. The pockets and and inside trim are made from gray palm print. All stitching is double or triple, snaps are sturdy. These will stand up to normal wear just fine.I did size up from my normal 8 to 10 after reading the reviews and I am glad I did. The waist fits perfectly and the roominess is just right.
