I too have experimented with a lot of bulbs trying to find something I like (there is quite a variety in every socket of my storage room and garage to prove it). Personally, I dislike the really "blue" bulbs (3000+ Kelvin range) unless they par30 "spots" where they reflect off other surfaces; I've always hated the "coil" lights' color as they are too cold for my taste. My favorites are the Phillips line of LED bulbs for everyday use, but for ambient lighting I've never been able to find something that I like.The several lights outside my house were a standard "warm" rated clear 60 watt bulbs (I assume 2700 Kelvin) and I replaced the whole lot with these Saffron SW-30558 ST64 bulbs instead. Thankfully, one of them showed up defective, which Amazon replaced with its usual speed (next day), but really it allowed me to see the before vs after.The ST64's color is extremely warm (2200 Kelvin). This is a very yellow light, replicating what the original Edison bulbs were supposed to mimic, gas light. The difference between the old 60 watt bulbs and the new 5 watt ones is startling; not too bright but throws a warm light across the front of the house... for 1/12th of the electricity.You cannot see the individual "filaments" from the street (over 30 feet away), but I am more than pleased with them and would recommend them to anyone looking for warm, ambient light. I wish I had more places inside my house to display these "bare" bulbs because they just look THAT good; I'll guess I'll have to create some opportunities to use more when I start remodeling. :) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing! Not just the ultra-warm light they give off, but also, the lit-up bulbs themselves look gorgeous - even nicer than an incandescent (because of the multiple filaments).I love these bulbs (but read my whole review for important points)! They give off an *extremely* warm color of light - definitely in the unusual / vintage-look category. You probably wouldn't want them for most rooms in your house. But if you're trying to create a warm/romantic/cozy/old-timey/B&B/etc atmosphere, they are amazing. Keep in mind, they're also not that bright, about the equiv. of a 45W incandescent bulb (according to the packaging, and I would agree).Perhaps the most amazing thing about these bulbs is how cool they run; you can wrap your hand around it after it's been on for an hour, and it merely feels a little warm. The efficiency of the bulbs is just amazing.Note that the 8 "filaments", when lit, each form a continuous stream of light; the appearance is not that of a bunch of tiny LEDs in series, as I had thought it would be. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great concept, but too yellow for populating an entire bathroom with. *by M***O on Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2015* Nice and bright but though it states it is 2700k light temperature, I doubt it. Though I don't have anything to measure the color temperature accurately, it makes my bathroom pretty yellow. Now despite that being said, I have offset it with a couple of 3000k LED's. I really like the look but not in love with the color. The concept is definitely there and I'm sure the technology will ultimately bring forth the perfect LED bulb.I would not use these lights for all sockets as it will produce too much of a yellow hue. So how exactly you would use them for multi-bulb lights is what I'm still wondering.
