The filter is made of a thicker β€œpaper” so I did need to soak the filter for up to 5 minutes while moving it around a little bit and then pushing it down in a cup of filtered water. Photo is comparing the formerly available ELEMENT 6 filters, those were awsome & large. It is very necessary to presoak & rinse. Fill a small glass with distilled h20 and place filter sachet in water ... Work gently with round side of a spoon to burp air from packet. The material is denser than any I have used before...so be patient it will take patience to soften and work water in and out with the spoon. They are still larger than nutriteam filters and do work well. I would give 5 stars if sachet material was'nt so dense....although most sachet fabric is too lightweight and breaks when rinsing or packing.
