I was suspicious of the tape job on the Eureka box, which was done in overkill mode. It was clear that nobody had "inspected, tested and cleaned" the vacuum, professionally or otherwise.The dust canister had dog hair and dirt inside of it (not "cleaned").The pre-motor filter had dog hair and some sort of brown stains in it.The exterior of the vacuum had clearly visible dirt and debris and marks all over.The "Pet Turbo Brush" accessory was missing.There were no instructions.Ok - MAYBE I could have taken it anyway. But when I fired it up, the brushroll would not come on. There is a button on the left side of the vacuum, next to the power button. Mashing that button repeatedly had no effect. So, in addition to all the other stuff messed up with this and not up to snuff, the thing was broken, too!It was clear someone used this vacuum for a while, broke it, then returned it. It was also clear that "Amazon-qualified supplier" didn't even open the box - they just sent it to me!Amazon made this right and took care of me.
