Meade 12" f/8 Optical Tube Assembly with ACF Optics and Accessories 1208-80-00 The Meade LX800 optical tube is faster and sharper with the award winning ACF (Advanced Coma-Free) optical design. Exposure times are significantly shortened at only f/8. Crisp images from edge to edge are provided with a high contrast baffling. In addition to this crystal clear view, two speeds of control at a 10:1 ratio are enabled with an internal micro focuser. The need for a mirror lock is eliminated with the ultra solid connection to the primary mirror.  Included in the package is a Losmandy-style dovetail rail that is precision machined and paired to the tube with wide-stance radius blocks delivering rock-steady observing. As well, a Vixen-style dovetail receiver is included and enables you to mount optional accessories. In addition to the Losmandy-style dovetail mounting rail and Vixen-style dovetail plate, the Meade LX800 ACF OTA comes standard with a Series 5000 2" diagonal, Series 5000 HD60 25mm eyepiece, and 8x50 finderscope. This system is a complete design suiting the needs of todays most demanding astro-imagers.
