I would think that it was a manufacturing error as the belt did have holes in it for the prong to go through. Every costume I've purchased from them has been wonderful. Usually, Halloween costumes are cheaper and you can't wear them more than once; however, CC makes a better quality costume. It isn't perfect, and the material could be a little better, but overall it works. It doesn't look super cheap like most Halloween costumes. The fit is great. Definitely order true-to-size. (again usually Halloween shopping everything is 10 sizes too small right? not with CC). The pirate costume was kind of short, but not obscene. It is way shorter in the back than front and I wore a cape with mine so I didn't have to worry about anyone seeing my bottom. I also wore tights under it. The belt was the worst part. It's cheap and flimsy and there isn't an actual buckle so it kept coming off. The hat is awesome!
