It leaves my hair clean and soft without completely stripping all the oil from it and destroying it. It also leaves my skin clean and moisturized, although I recommend still using a separate skin moisturizer. It's good for pericare as well as full baths. I use the foam on my skin then wipe it off with a cloth or towel. It says it can be left on the skin, but I haven't tested that theory yet.
