Something about it was bothering me. It came in a vacuum sealed bag and it seems way smaller than it should be for 8lbs but there was something else I could not quite put my finger on it. It just hit me. The smell. It doesn’t smell like real wool at all. I went on with the project since I did not have time to get a replacement but the product is labeled incorrectly. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Easy to rip *by M***Y on Reviewed in the United States on November 25, 2019* It was easy to tear apart so when using it you have to be super gentle when unwinding the yarn or tightening anything. It ripped multiple times in the first 20 minutes of using it before I realized how careful I had to be. Once I got the hang of it though it turn into a nice blanket. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is wool "roving" NOT "yarn" The item title is wrong!!! But if you are expecting a "yarn" this is NOT what you want. Yarn is multiple spun strands which are plied (wound) together. Roving is combed wool fibers which are gathered into a loose sort of strand which is easily torn and separated. Roving can be used to spin yarn, but it is not yarn is this form. Reviewers who complain that this roving falls apart and sheds fibers are experiencing what roving is meant to be. It's a bit like complaining that your toaster won't dry your socks very well. Again, this is not a fat yarn. Even though people DO use it for "arm knitting" it is NOT a true yarn.
