They have held up well to my 14 year old son dropping his all the time. The roller part is plastic as well as the lid but the bottle seems to be a sturdier thicker glass. I wasn't a fan of the plastic cheap pipettes. The one broke at the seam the first time I used it. The other lasted about 6-7 uses and cracked at the seam also. But I didn't purchase the bottles for them, so all in all a good deal. I have given these to other family members also. They hold a decent amount, roll easily, and using a permanent marker, are easily written on.
