We found that most pair were too large and I had to sew in heel straps and/or switch to smaller sizes. One dancer went from a size chart XL to a Med, another dancer measures as a Med, needs an XS (but SM is smallest size). I plan on returning the unused pairs and ordering different sizes..Of course, your sizing may vary. Much depends on foot width, arch depth and instep height. Luckily, this brand has not been too tight on their big toes (other brands often restrict my circulation)On the plus side, they are relatively inexpensive. Even though I ordered a smaller size they are still loose on me. Unless your feet are wide, I recommend a much smaller size. I am still able to dance in them but need to adjust more frequently than I like.
