I was so nervous to transition from a swaddle bc she would wake up if her arms got free at all during the night or for naps. This gives enough restriction for her with the freedom to move a bit and gives this mama peace of mind when she starts to try and roll. I got the Velcro band separately and think this has helped with the transition too. I’ll remove that in a few weeks. My baby is tall and chunky and was in between sizes, I went with M so she wouldn’t outgrow it, the neck doesnt come up around her mouth like some of the reviews have said but when she raises both arms the chest where the zipper is raised up- the band keeps this from happening though and as she gets bigger I bet this won’t be an issue. It’s also a bit stretchy and thin material.
