They do a great job at shielding my face from the cold wind while riding. Even if the mask is considered for Summer, with these late fall early morning rides where temps are in the 40's, the perform very well. I have collected a number of these masks as I have kept re-ordering. Even the first ones I ordered are still in good shape. Sadly all this time I had the impression it would serve well to protect me from passing cyclist and joggers that as still apparently skeptical from COVID, thinking that it would help to block a sneeze or have you, but since this is considered a summer mask, the threading that make up the material, have enough micro gaps that would not block out such fine sneeze, etc or what ever is still being understood about this dreadful virus threat. My only consideration, since it still does a great job of keeping your face warm is to wear a acceptable protection mask underneath, and this over it which would keep it in place. The problem is that as a cyclist, I must admit, there are times you need a good flow of air to breath when going up an incline or such and having just one mask becomes an added blockage. Having two masks under such breathing load would be hard to bear. So with this in mind, if you are not going to be passing by others on your route and want an effective mask to keep you face warm, good quality that will last months of cycling, this is a great choice. I think I have 12 masks so that I have sufficient after each weekly ride.
