I bought this same shoe in a different color in the store at a higher price and was thrilled that it was on sale on line (three pairs total-different colors). I was able to wear these shoes to work with skirts and pants; it wasn't inappropriate. They are very comfortable. They do show a lot of your feet so-get a pedicure before wearing:) My only disappointment was with the black pair that I ordered. Unfortunately, the quality was not as good as my other two pairs. The side straps are loose and will come out completely. This happened after my second time wearing. It must be a defective shoe (isolated issue) since I have no problems with my original pair that I wore all of the time because of the color. I was so excited to find these shoes. The arrived quickly and are absolutely beautiful. I wore them immediately and within one hour of wear (walking to and from my car once and then sitting to study) the inside strap had already started to tear.
