The colors are as pictured, and remain bright upon application. They are removed very easily, which can be a detraction because they also smudge easily. For me, easy removal and natural safe ingredients were more important than staying power (as i planned to put them on my toddler). I would recommend this product to anyone, except if you really need the makeup to stay put. The paint might stay on better with some kind of setting powder...
