Review: Good Product. - Over all, this is a very good product. However, to cut to the chase, I prefer using an ultrasonic cleaner and a homemade UV curing chamber. Here are a few of the pros, cons, and reasons to back up my preferences. Pros: Simplicity (Two machines in one) Pretty good at washing parts (reason for "Pretty good" explained later) Amazing at curing parts (the UV LEDs are super powerful) Attention to safety (the lid is UV blocking and there is a safety switch that shuts down the machine if the lid is removed) Simple user interface Works with a pretty small amount of cleaning fluid (there is an included bracket that lowers the bed to the surface of the liquid) Cons: Price (see below for further detail) Can't use both the cleaning and curing features simultaneously In all, this is a very useful piece of equipment. However, let's go into further detail on a couple of the points made above. Let's start with my comment that it does a "Pretty good" job at cleaning. Though the cleaning system does a surprisingly decent job at removing excess resin from the surface of the prints, it lacks the penetrating capability of an ultrasonic cleaner. With an ultrasonic cleaner, the part gets cleaned inside and out. This is important because resin printers can't really print infill. This means that either you print with 100% infill (i.e. solid) or no infill (i.e. hollow). Because the ultrasonic cleaner uses, well, ultrasonic waves to clean, these waves can penetrate the walls of the print and clean the inside as well. And finally, let's talk price. Though this machine is pretty good at what it does, I don't think it is worth the $150 price tag (as is the price at the time of the writing of this review). I say this because of the all the other methods of doing the things this machine does (sometimes even better) but at a cheaper price. For example, I can get an ultrasonic cleaner (big enough to put the entire build plate into) for around $80 and a string of UV LEDs for $10. So, with a little DIY (to build the curing chamber) I can have equivalent capability for $60 less. In conclusion, this is an all around good machine. I believe that you can make something better, but, since this is the only all-in-one cure/wash station I can find, I would recommend it to anybody that doesn't want to mess with the DIY side.
Review: Way more useful than anticipated - I expected this device to be a positive improvement for my 3d printing, but I hadn't anticipated the kind of difference it would make. Like most people I saw this device, thought "Eh, kind of interesting, but it just does things I already have a set up for." Eventually though I was convinced to take a chance on it (being stuck at home for the coronavirus social distancing/quarantining certainly helped since I was doing more printing as a result). I was quite surprised. First, it was a big space saver. My old set up was a tupperware of IPA for initial wash, an ultrasonic cleaner for a second rinsing, and then a 5 gallon bucket lined with UV leds with a solar powered rotating display stand. This device replaced all of that and it left me with a lot of space. That extra space has also helped me keep the work area cleaner. Second, it's really convenient. The alternate means of immersing the prints, the wide platform for curing, and plenty of other little things show that this is a device that some thought went into. It's well designed and it does its jobs well. It's hard to point to a single thing, but it definitely makes what is often the most tedious parts of resin printing faster and more enjoyable. The only thing I would put as a warning - the manual doesn't say this (at least not anywhere I saw), but none of the functions work without the protective cover on. This makes sense for the cure mode, but was very confusing when I was attempting to clean some prints the first time. I nearly thought the machine was broken until I tried putting the cover on to see if that made a difference (after at least 15 minutes of trying it in every other possible configuration and with multiple different outlets). If you can spare the funds and are thinking about this device, I strongly recommend making the purchase.

## Features

- 【Larger Size for Upgraded Capacity】Compared to Anycubic Wash & Cure 2, Wash and Cure 3 has an impressive 42% increase in cleaning basket capacity, this makes it perfectly tailored for LCD (light-curing) 3D printers with a size of 7.3 inches or less. The volume of the cleaning bucket has also increased to 4L, meeting the cleaning needs of larger and more 3d models
- 【Gooseneck light design】The "Innovative Flexicure Gooseneck Light Design" of ANYCUBIC increases the energy value by 30,000uW/cm² within a 1-3 cm irradiation range, significantly strengthening the curing effect on subtle areas such as the top of models and the hem of garments
- 【Dual-layer Design, IPA Saving】The double-layered PP material cleaning basket is designed to support cleaning with defferent platforms. It features two adjustable heights at 100mm and 165mm, providing flexibility to accommodate printing platforms ranging from 5.9 inches to 7.3 inches. This design also maximizes the efficiency of IPA usage
- 【Enhanced Curing Power】By utilizing a new bead arrangement and lens light source, Wash & Cure 3.0 offers a 20%* improvement in curing uniformity over the previous generation 2.0. This results in a more thorough and comprehensive curing of the entire model
- 【Quiet and Simple】Cleaning and curing dual modes, easily selected with one click; Gooseneck light curing mode can be easily toggled on and off with one click. Adjustable from 1 to 30 minutes at will. After the closed structure design and software optimization, machine can effectively reduce the cleaning, curing noise interference, to create a quieter and more comfortable working environment

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this unit required to use with the anycubic 3d printers?**
A: no, it is not required. Just pay attention to the size of the bucket that came with this machine and make sure your 3d printed models are not larger than the bucket. You should be fine if you use any of those small size resin printers like Elegoo Mars, Mars Pro, Mars Pro 2, Phorzen sonic mini.....just to name a few.

**Q: Just purchased & love it. Can you keep the alcohol in the wash bucket until it's time to clean/filter it out (keeping it away from sun/UV)?**
A: Well I did just this and didn’t print anything for a few months. When I went back to use it, something in the bottom of the agitator had rusted and covered my print with mess. I’m assuming a bearing seal maybe? Either way I’m now trying to see if I can get just the bucket.

**Q: Mine spins the platform for a half second, stops, then starts constantly beeping. Anyone have this happen?**
A: I ended up putting my thumb over the sensor to see if that was the problem, and it turned on without the lid. With the lid on, just beeps. Cardboard up against the lid to reduce incoming light and it worked fine. Just seems like an over sensitive sensor. I'll probably tape something to the lid to increase the light it blocks.

**Q: Can you put the build plate from the anycubic photon mono x in it or do you need to take your work off the build plate and wash it separately?**
A: There are 2 stations now advertised, the PLUS size will accommodate the larger Mono X build plate. I have both the X and the Plus and they do work together fine. I was critical when I bought the previous wash station because it wouldn't fit the X, and that was the upgraded model only a couple months old at the time.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Great Investment For Anyone Who Is Into Resin Printing
*by K***E on March 24, 2020*

I have been resin printing for about a year and a half. In that time, I have tried my fair share of DIY washing and curing setups. From multiple jars of IPA to UV Lights glued onto containers, or just leaving prints outside in the sun, I’ve tried it all. I recently learned of Anycubic’s Wash and Cure station and decided to give it a try. This machine has definitely streamlined my post-processing. The machine comes with a large container to hold your IPA or other cleaning liquid, and there is an agitator blade in the bottom which is controlled by magnets to ensure a secure, leak-proof containment. You can choose 2, 4 or 6 minute intervals, and half way through the cycle, the agitator blade reverses ensuring flowing cleaner will wash your parts from both directions. The machine comes with 3 ways to submerge your parts. The first is a metal basket which you can put the parts in if you’ve already removed them from the build plate. There are also a fixed and adjustable build plate holder. This allows you to submerge the build plate so it gets cleaned at the same time as the printed part. The build plate holders are designed to fit most resin printer models, though I had to modify the diameter of the metal connector slightly to get it to hold my Elegoo Mars build plate securely. When it’s time to post-cure your parts, there is a clear curing platform that you port into the middle of the machine. After placing the piece on the platform and placing the lid over the machine, you can set it to curing mode and, like the washing mode, choose 2, 4 or 6 minute cure time. Once started, an array of UV lights is activated while the curing platform rotates 360 degrees. This machine makes the post-printing process so much cleaner and easier. No more swirling printed parts around in a jar of IPA with tongs. No more cleaning the build plate or having to use a homemade UV curing box. I would highly recommend this machine for anyone who is into resin printing.
