I put one on the bathroom wall to hold tissue. The hook went in finally, but I drilled the hole a little too big. So I added caulk around it for stability. Once dry, it was pretty sturdy considering. I wouldn’t add anything too heavy but it was sturdy enough. I put the second one in the hall adjacent to my bathroom. That one was a bit more difficult. As you can see in the pic, I didn’t use the hook for the second one. I used a picture hanger I had on hand. That one is super sturdy and the hanger is still not that noticeable. It is for 75 lbs so I feel confident putting anything on it. I tried the hook and my hole was on point, but that wall was softer than the rest of my walls so it wouldn’t stay in without moving around.I love these but I am disappointed a little, hence the four stars. I wanted them because of the distressed look in the advertisement. As you can see from my pic, these are nowhere near that distressed, so a bit of false advertising on their part.
