Review: If Construction Paper Is the Gateway… Astrobrights Is the Upgrade - I’ve used Astrobrights cardstock for years — first as a classroom teacher and now as someone who presents and trains educators — and this Eclipse Black, 65 lb cover weight is hands-down one of my most-used packs. Let’s start with the feel & quality: This cardstock is thick without being stubborn. It’s sturdy enough for signs, games, covers, and display pieces, but not so thick that it jams printers or copiers. I’ve run it through school copiers, home printers, and office machines with zero drama (and if you’ve ever fought a copier, you know that matters). 🖨️ Printer & Copier Friendly (YES, really) Inkjet ✔️ Laser ✔️ Copiers ✔️ No curling, no smudging, no getting stuck halfway through a big print job. 🖤 Why Eclipse Black Is a Must-Have This black is deep, rich, and bold, not gray-ish or flimsy. It makes: White or neon text POP Classroom games look polished Workshop materials look professional Posters, covers, and dividers look intentional I laminate a lot of my materials, and this paper holds up beautifully — no warping, no weird bubbling, and it’s durable enough to reuse year after year. 👩‍🏫 Teacher & Presenter Approved Back when I was teaching, we used Astrobrights constantly: Game boards Task cards Art projects Interactive notebooks Let’s be honest — kids are over construction paper. Once they use Astrobrights, there’s no going back. The colors are vibrant, the paper feels “fancy,” and suddenly their work looks display-worthy. Now, in my presenting career, I still use it for: Workshop materials Table activities Visual examples Reusable laminated resources It instantly elevates anything you print. 📦 Final Thoughts If you need cardstock that: Looks professional Handles heavy use Runs smoothly through printers Works for classrooms, offices, and creative projects …Astrobrights is worth every penny. I always keep multiple colors on hand, but Eclipse Black is a staple I reorder again and again. Brighter colors. Better materials. Less copier rage. Highly recommend. I wouldn't print on this since idk if it would show up. Seems very thick and good quality but not for my application ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ True black, good thickness, and great value. *by A***R on May 13, 2021* This worked out great for my child’s 2nd grade art project! Was going to buy larger, higher quality paper for twice the price and only 15 sheets. So glad I didn’t. I just taped 2 together and trimmed it like I’ve done all year to get it the same size they are using in the school (we went virtual). This project was used with soft pastel chalk. It is black all the way through. We had a paint drop that was unshapely, and used a toothpick to kind of carve it out. Then covered it up with the small stars (toothbrush +acrylic paint). So the paper being a nicer thick card stock helped make that possible without making a hole. So if you’re looking for a nice TRUE BLACK, sturdy paper, I’d definitely recommend this. ## Frequently Bought Together - Neenah Paper 2202401 Color Cardstock, 65lb, 8 1/2 x 11, Eclipse Black, 100 Sheets - Astrobrights/Neenah Bright White Cardstock, 8.5" x 11", 65 lb/176 gsm, White, 75 Sheets (90905-02) - Packaging May Vary - Neenah Premium Cardstock, 8.5" x 11", 65 lb/176 gsm, Bright White, 250 Sheets (91904) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.kw/products/1872599-astrobrights-black-cardstock](https://www.desertcart.com.kw/products/1872599-astrobrights-black-cardstock) --- *Product available on Desertcart Kuwait* *Store origin: KW* *Last updated: 2026-11-03*
