I needed a pump to change the transmission oil on my Nautique (inboard boat). I researched heavily and saw plenty reviews of the cheaper plastic pumps where people said they leaked, came apart, didn't pump, etc. Most people with the cheaper pumps said it took them 30 minutes to pump 1 Qt of oil, that's crazy slow. I ended up buying this pump.I didn't run my boat beforehand to warm up the oil, so it was very thick. The small tube fished down the dipstick hole with ease and had plenty of length to spare. It took 2 pumps to prime the pump, after that I was getting 1/8 Qt oil per pump. I was able to extract 2 Qts of oil in only 15 pumps (about 3 minutes). This pump works great.When using the pump, pull the handle all the way out and hold it there until it finishes drawing the liquid into the cylinder.
