The plug in cover is easy to open and close and the rubber ring that hold the d-ring shows no sign of wearing out anytime soon. The case isn't too thick and feels nice in my hand. Although I have never had my Air Pods fall out of the case itself, you can see in the pictures that when I open the case, the pods case slides up slightly due to the loop connecting the rubber case's lid to the rest of the body. This causes the plug in cover to sink in too.
