The thing with contouring is you don't want a bronze or shimmer, you need cool shades th a t mimic shadows on your face a nd this pallette has that and more. There are highlight shades for all skin tones. Yellow,just like Ben Nyes banana powder, looks beautiful on tan and darker skin tones, I'm olive and it looked great on my skin as well.The powder is not milled super finely buy it blends beautifully nontheless. Since I just got it today I will have to update my post as I use it more and tweak it a little and see how it blends with different makeup formulas.BTW, I had no make up on and it gave me a great sheer cover as good as a sheer powder foundation.The price is phenomenal compared to other contouring palettes. Definitely get this if you want to experiment with contouring and highlighting and even strobbing.*****UPDATE*****I'm still loving this pallette! As a tip, for those of you that use liquid foundation set your foundation with the appropriate flesh colored powder for a smoother airbrushed look. If you don't the contouring will look muddy and skip rather than glide over tour skin. Also, the color payout on these are really good so you should hold your brush higher up on the shaft and not on the ferel (sp?), the metal part. This will give you a lighter hand and you can gradually build intensity which is much easier than trying to blend excess away.Don't be afraid of the yellow it actually worked well on my friend with a fair complexion. It brightens sallow skin under the eyes and for a seemless look be sure to apply from the side of the nose, under the eye all the way to the hairline.(check out the Kim Kardashian contour videos on you tube for a better explanation.) The white powder is a great highlighter on the top of the cheeks above your blush and just below your brow and a thin line down your nose if you want to narrow your nose followed by a dark shade on both sides of your nose from brow to tip.
