**Q: Is this Dishwasher safe?**
A: Yes and no. You can put it in the dishwasher but it will hold onto a soapy taste. It should only be washed with baking soda and vinegar.

**Q: What's the size of these 'challettes?'**
A: They are 4 inches x 4 inches and about 2 3/4 inches high. The size of a large hamburger bun, just taller.

**Q: Could someone please provide me how much volume one mold holds? (Using water would work) Thanks!!!**
A: Excellent question. Can only sort of reverse engineer an answer, however. We made a recipe that would have made 2 challahs. It made four challah rolls. They were very large “rolls”.

Happy to pour water into one of the rolls and see how much it holds. Of course, water doesn’t rise, the dough does. The instructions that came with the pan said to use an ice cream scoop. We used a ladle, large and did not fill each one to the top allowing for the rising dough. We could have gone with less dough in each. It works out that each roll is 1/2 challah. Wow. Hasn’t looked at it that way.

That said, the pan is terrific and the ginormous rolls did look braided. If only the gluten free dough was easier.

Do not hesitate to ask me to measure for you if my attempt at an answer did not work.

A: It depends on the size of the challah!

Silicone Braided Challah Pan - 4 Small Challahs is perfect for me. I use it to make small gluten free challahs. Since gluten free dough is thinner than regular dough, it's much harder to braid. But I still want the braid shape. So instead of spending hours upon hours trying to braid it, I just use these pans. They're so simple! Just pour the dough in and you'll have beautifully braided challahs, without the work. Of course, the challahs aren't actually braided - they only look like they're braided. You can also use this pan for regular dough if you just don't want to braid it. The challahs that you get when you use this pan look perfectly braided and professional.I recommend this challah pan.

Nice large size, very sturdy and appear well made. I’m very excited to use these; they will be great for kids. I’m still going to braid my challah loaves, but these are really convenient for everyday use. Great for Rosh Hashanah!

I love that I can now put my challah dough in this and have perfect challettes. In my ovens, it only takes 25 minutes for the in-mold baking before turning them out onto the pan for the egg wash and final baking. And that is only 15 minutes in my ovens. And in my ovens, it is at 350. I have small ovens, as my home bakery is in my apartment.
