Review: These are the best pens. I love them so much that I ... - These are the best pens. I love them so much that I bought boxes of them so I can loose as many as are normally lost in life, but still have an awesome pen any time I need one. The only problem is, that I have not met a single person, of about 50, that have borrowed this pen, and known how to open it. They are designed in a way that people want to twist them open. So when people borrow it I always have to tell them, to pull it apart with gestures. Even with those instructions half the time people still try to twist it open. They are basically equivalent to the thin sharpie pens with a different casing, so maybe it would have been better to buy boxes of the other kind. But people tend to return the pen because of how nice it writes and the design, so they think it's an expensive pen. I've given them away to people that commented how they liked them, and all of them were super appreciative. They didn't realize how cheap they actually are. Even after years of use, the clips don't break off with lots of stress like most pens. I've accidentally washed clothes with these pens and they didn't leak because the cap is nice and tight. I've only ever had two dry out, because someone left the cap off for a day. They leave the perfect amount of ink on the page. My left-handedness doesn't cause my had to be black when using this pen.
Review: Great smooth pen - Having bought a small sample package in store, I knew that I liked these pens going into this purchase. The grip is fantastic, making it comfortable to write for extended periods of time. There is no worry about smearing or bleed through (unless you leave the tip in contact with the paper for an extended period of time in one place). They are a little bit pricey (about $2.19 per pen [black] when I purchased), but they are well worth the cost in my opinion. I am always looking for the next greatest pen, and these meet the mark for the most part. One small issue that someone else mentioned: if you are heavy handed, the tip of the pen will wear out. Essentially the tip will smoosh down so that it no longer works. Not a manufacturing problem by any means. This is just how these tips work. Definitely consider this pen if you are looking for a great writing tool for a reasonable price. I own both the blue and the black, and they work fantastically!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this pen work well on a glossy photo guestbook?**
A: I love this pen, however, it does not seem to be as permanent as the larger sharpie. I still have to take care when signing a glossy card for example. It still has the potential for smearing if it has not dried completely.

**Q: How resistant to UV fade are these? I need the writing to last up to a year in constant sunlight.**
A: In the title description it says, "Acid-Free and Archival-Quality". Being a watercolorist, I use only archival quality products. My experience with the Sharpies I have bought over the years is that once they dry they are permanent. I don't believe that anything would be guaranteed as permanent (even archival products) in full sun. That being said, you'd have as good a chance with this product lasting as pretty much anything on the market. Most 'archival' items, such as the watercolor paintings I do should last 100 years - if not exposed to direct sun. Hope this will help in some way. ~~ Deb

**Q: is this pen for writing on the back of photos?**
A: I wouldn’t. It smears on trace paper and photo paper can be slippery. It’s also uncomfortable to use.

**Q: Is this for signing fine art prints?**
A: It is acid-free and has archival quality so it should be able to sign fine art prints, however it may not show up on certain colors since it s not as bold as regular Sharpies.
