I bought two containers thinking I would need a lot to cover my face and hands and I literally only used 1/4 of it! I did have to do several layers to get a truly deep red color to completely cover my skin but this is totally worth the $$$! I liked the water activation rather than the oil based products, It didn't clog my pores and it came of soooo easily! I thought I would have been tinted a bit pink afterwards but It all came off in the shower! I used a setting spray over the top to help hold it on. I did have to be a bit careful because a little transfer is inevitable but thats fine, just be mindful if you're wearing something light colored it may transfer and possibly stain clothing. I chose to wear all black for this reason! Would recommend using an oil based cleanser (like DHC oil or micellar water at first) followed by a water based cleanser to get everything off. It also didn't stain my shower which i kind of expected and that was nice! I used a basic makeup sponge and some brushes to get it close to my eyes and around my nose. I did have to toss the sponges and brushes but i purposely bought cheap ones for this application that i could dispose of.
