Durable power punch tool for precision holes through all types of materials. From thin brass metal to plastic sheet through 16 gauge mild steel. Features with an adjustable edge guide, easily lets you align holes in a straight line 1/4 to 1-1/2 inch from the edge. Package comes with seven quick-change, durable heat treated punch-and-die sets. Review: Metal hole punch - I've been using this tool for about four months. It is a solid piece of work. You are not going to knock any holes in anything more than 20 gauge sheet metal with any kind of comfort, quickness or ease. I use this tool to punch holes in 28 gauge sheet metal dog tags for the local sports team I support. It works well for that. PROs- Love the available size hole punch sets, love the quick change between sizes. I use two sizes every time and the change is quick and easy. The female die, male die, and handle attachments are hand (finger) adjustable. Really like this tool for what I bought it for- punching holes in thin gauge sheet metal. Does a great job in a variety of sizes. price is great. Tools works well. Die change is very easy. The case is functional and supports changing dies and sizes. Highly recommend. Index points on dies help ensure holes go where you want them. You can adjust the female die to create knock-outs, hanging chads, and clean holes. The mechanical advantage of the tool makes punching holes in thin gauge metal easy. Punching holes with one hand is easy. that's good because keeping things on target and aligned is tricky; not difficult, just tricky and requires practice. It still takes two hands to open the tool and clear punched metal. The main point here is the tool's design facilitates freeing your project as well as it does punching the hole. CONs- very worthless, not sure why it's included, afterthought of a screw driver. Really?????? I mean, why bother if the worthless piece of tinfoil is all you can do? You don't need this thing. It really doesn't detract from the function of the tool. However, it is listed as a selling component and isn't worth shipping costs to include. I think they had to go out of their way to find a metal as soft and pliable as the type they are using. Don't breath too hard or you'll bend it. I think holding it in your hand too long softens it up. Very minor point but, disappointing none the less.
Review: Great tool for aluminum jewelry making - I use this tool often to punch small holes into aluminum for my hand stamped jewelry. Very durable and good quality. I have smaller and slightly arthritic hands and this tool is easy and painless for me to press down on and use. I found most of the tools I tried that were actually made for aluminum jewelry were too weak and hard to use. These are great. The only thing I’d change is that they came with an even smaller hole option as I use the smallest one already. Great tool! I look forward to using all the other options for much larger projects.

**Q: are square hole punches available?**
A: I have not seen any made by Neiko but you can find square hole punches depending on application.   If you want it for paper applications, EK Tools makes one.  If you want it for wood applications, Lee Valley Tools makes one that you drill an undersize hole first then use their punch to square it up.  For metal, Greenlee makes a manual knock-out punch for square holes (up to 14 gauge mild steel).  Hassay Savage Co. makes a Rotary square punch (it is a type of Broach).  Also, there are broach kits out there.   I am sure there are others if you do some research.

**Q: Will this tool cut a hole in a copper washer? I had another metal punch that punched through a couple of times, but then broke.**
A: I cut  20  mil (24ga, 0.5 mm) copper sheet all of the time. I have cut 28 mil (0.7 mm) sheet easily. It doesn't do 40 mil (1 mm) very well as the jaws are open very wide. I think most copper flat washers will be more like 0.7 mm and so I should be fine for you. If you want to send me a few washers I'll try them for you. Let me know and I'll give you my address.

**Q: Is this made in the USA?**
A: My version, acquired jun 2022 is made in China.

**Q: In what country is this tool manufactured?**
A: The packaging says “Made in Taiwan”. I can’t find any country of origin labels on the actual tool.

I've been using this tool for about four months. It is a solid piece of work. You are not going to knock any holes in anything more than 20 gauge sheet metal with any kind of comfort, quickness or ease. I use this tool to punch holes in 28 gauge sheet metal dog tags for the local sports team I support. It works well for that. PROs- Love the available size hole punch sets, love the quick change between sizes. I use two sizes every time and the change is quick and easy. I use this tool often to punch small holes into aluminum for my hand stamped jewelry. Very durable and good quality. I have smaller and slightly arthritic hands and this tool is easy and painless for me to press down on and use. I am very happy with this product. I was just hoping to get a couple holes punched, but it worked great. I punched holes in the Harbor Freight One Drawer unit to do some customization, and it worked great. For the price, you can't beat it. (if you do not have hand strength, do not get this) It was not too difficult, but if you are not very strong, it may not work that great for you.
