I just unboxed them and did a gentle hand wash before a first use. As I was drying one of the mugs, i noticed "copper" on my towel. I don't trust the reviews here, as there is no way these are "lined" as was noted in another review. These appear to be nothing but flash plated stainless steel cups (I assume stainless because a magnet will barely attract to it). So the one mug now has a bald spot where the "copper" peeled off.
