## Description

In agriculture, construction and even military applications, pintle hitches are the trusted product of specialized towing. They are notorious for their high weight capacity and simple design. The basic pintle hitch is essentially a hook and loop, with the hook attached to the vehicle and the loop mounted on the trailer. Because of their simple design, pintle hitches are able to have thicker metal construction and more secure coupling. Rather than using a reducer sleeve or hitch adapter to increase the shank size of your 2" mount, this pintle hook features a solid steel 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" shank. With a solid shank and a gross trailer weight capacity of 20,000 lbs., it offers a solid complement to commercial-duty class 5 trailer hitches (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest weight capacity of any towing component; i.e. the vehicle, hitch, trailer, etc). The pintle hook fits any lunette ring with a 2-1/2" inside eye diameter, and it comes with a safety pin for secure coupling. The heavy-duty towing done with pintle hitches brings with it a certain amount of wear and tear on your towing equipment, and to prepare for this, CURT uses a quality finish on all of our pintle mounts, lunette eyes and combination pintle hitches. Best Pintle Tow hitch made, its so stout and heavy the card board box it comes in gets punished in shipping but you won't be disappointed by this guy. Towed 15,000 pounds with it no problem with my F350 and Zieman trailer. The Clevis pin on the lanyard to lock is a great included bonus, well made product. Curt had their engineers on point with this one! No slope when inserted in receiver, just be sure you have a long enough hitch pin to fit through receiver to lock in, the pin hole is snug so you may have to wiggle pin in to get in, but it's nice because it keeps the hitch from bouncing up and down when you hit a road or driveway transition.
