The power cable supplies enough power to boot the wii, but is either unshielded and interferes with the wii's AV output (I tested this with 2 AV cables) or the power draw is too low to fully power the wii. The cable gets extremely hot and the power brick itself feels like it's completely empty, I'm guessing it's just there for show. The plug also doesn't properly fit into the wii's power socket.Worst of all (and this is the reason I am returning it) It generates a strobing effect on the screen at all times.
