**Q: What is the length measurement of the lock bar**
A: There are 3 different cams-(lock bar) that come with the lock-(2 straight and 1 offset). The lengths are measured from the center of the square hole in the cam to the tip. The offset is 1 1/8?, the short straight one is 1 1/4" and the long straight on is 2".

**Q: Can 2 cams be used?  My current lock uses the 2 inch cam and the offset cam to lock both file drawers.**
A: Use your own discretion. Only one cam is normally used.

I bought a house with an alarm system. The main control panel was secured by a screw. I added this lock. Works fine.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality Item - maybe not easy for everyone to install

It met my expectations for quality and function and worked well. Was surprised the lock is made by PrimeLine dot net: the huge manufacturer of closet parts, sliding door parts, drawer slide parts and similar items you'll find at every big box hardware store. If the installer is not handy, it might be more efficient to buy one locally to confirm the cams will work in their situation. Purchased as a replacement lock for a key safe/key cabinet lock box. Overall dimensions were the same, however a couple of details made it a challenge. The offset cam was offset differently than the prior lock, no problem, re-use the old cam. The shaft for the cam was larger on the PrimeLine Defender than the old one, and required some fine file work to enlarge the hole. After a couple of uses the locking nut loosened and the 'guts' of the lock started to come out of the front along with the key. Adding threadlock or even just superglue solved this and may be a solution for others.
