We purchased this to secure our baby's bedroom. As with other pressure fit gates, there are screw out bolts top and bottom either side. What made this easier to fit than other gates of this type is that the pads at the end of the bolts are rubberised which help to protect paintwork and stop the pads from slipping. In addition, a tightening tool is provided which makes the job of screwing out the bolts far less fiddly and less painful than those found on other gates. Once fixed in position the gate is operated by way of a recessed spring loaded sliding button to the top of the gate which needs to be pushed across before the catch lever can be lifted. Lifting the catch lever releases the top of the gate and pulls up a locking peg at the bottom. This process needs to be carried out when opening and closing the gate.Overall an easy to fit, well made product that works well.
