Very versatile and great for many different jobs. I've been using them to add some fine detail to wood carvings and can't really fault them at this price, the only thing I'd say that feels a wee bit on the cheap side are the handles, but the actual files are great, and the case is surprisingly tough Brilliant product for the price Will definitely shop here again 👍

**Q: How thick is the flat file?**
A: Hi

There are four flat files, two for each type of file - one has a square end, the other a pointed end. The steel ones are just on 1mm thick, the silver ones a fraction more, possibly 1.2mm. That's measured against a steel ruler in the absence of callipers or a micrometer. The pointed ones have worked well on enlarging small square/rectangular holes in plastic model parts and the flat ended ones have been just right for cleaning up wider flat edges.

I ordered these files to replace the set I have been using for years, and can honestly say that I am happier with them than I thought I'd be considering the price being so low for the quantity.. brilliant wee set. Very versatile and great for many different jobs.
