The tie up points and seams are strong and it packs down very small. Once out in the woods the options were almost limitless for how to have it set up. I ended up going with my favourite, the plough point shelter and there was loads of room for my kit and myself. The only thing I would question is DD's description of the colour. They have it down as a "Coyote Brown" where I would say it's a bit darker than that and more of a chocolate brown but even so it blends in with the UK's autumn colours perfectly. It has 19 tie off points in all so you can adapt it to your surroundings in so many ways. It only comes with 4 guy ropes and 4 pegs but these are cheap enough to pick up online or at your local camping store. I added a further ten pegs and bought some paracord. The great thing about this tarp is it's potential for use in so many circumstances. Pack it up in your day bag for a quick shelter when hiking or take it with you on a family picnic in the park to provide some shade. At around Β£35 it's a great addition to your kit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Essential piece of robust kit. *by A***. on Reviewed in the United Kingdom πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ on 18 May 2016* This is now part of my core bushcraft kit, attached with 2m reflective brown paracord lines, a spare 20m paracord line for a ridgeline and a pack of proper bivvy pegs. Stays right at the top of my pack along with a 2m ground tarp. Wherever I camp, that comes out first, I can wrap my kit in the groundsheet and have shelter up in 5 minutes, before getting a fire going for a brew.The wide number of anchor points means you can erect it in a hundred different ways. I suggest you take it out in your local woods with a reel of paracord and see how many ways you can put it up, get some practice in before you need it! YouTube is full of useful tutorials on different methods, including some good ones from DD themselves. Essential kit to go with a hammock, but extremely useful for tenters too. Keep it close to your first aid kit to allow you to shelter and treat a member of your team quickly for those unforeseen emergencies: getting your patient dry and sheltered from the wind.Robust, great value, delivers next-day, light, compact. Have used mine on many occasions without any problems, looks like it will last a long time.I also have the 3m x 4.5m version which is better for two people if your hammocking. The 3m is just long enough to cover a hammock if it's raining, but if it's really windy too, you might want to consider the 4.5m to protect you from the more horizontal rain, or you can run your 3m square on the diagonal above your hammock.Finally the colour is great, it blends in nicely with the countryside, making you inconspicuous to wildlife and other travellers wishing to enjoy the scenery. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best investment I've made in a while *by S***Y on Reviewed in the United Kingdom πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ on 30 April 2019* Never experienced camping with a tarp before, but I will never look back now. Thanks to all the tie out points on this item, it can be hung in many different configurations. If you pre-set it up, you can have this out the bag and hung in a matter of minutes.Our first night we were battered by wind and rain, the tarp held up beautifully, retaining it's tautness throughout the night and, more importantly, kept us bone dry.The fabric feels pretty tough and durable, and the re-enforcement on the tie out points give me absolute confidence in their strength.The only downsides to the item are, it does weight more than I expected, but still lighter than our tent. The weight was not an issue at all though, and if it means it's more durable then I'm absolutely fine with it.Also, the included guy lines aren't the best and you'd likely need to purchase separate parachord. They're only about 2m long, and the fabric doesn't feel very strong.
