Any Homestar disc will work on any version of the Homestar. I have both the Flux and the classic and I've interchanged many of them, so I know from personal experience. **Q: Do these work on the high end $3000 Sega Homestar Extra planetarium?** A: Homestar Extra was sold for $450 eight years ago. Since then, it has been discontinued and is now being sold as antiquity for astronomical figures. I rotate the discs in and out on the two projectors I bought (yes I bought two). It looks incredible to change the galaxy to different formations and views by changing the discs. Worth the investment ### ⭐⭐⭐ Not as crisp as shown on Amazon and elsewhere *by J***S on September 23, 2017* It might be me but I purchased several of the extra disks, including this one, the farfield view, one of the nebula disks (I think I have in total 8 including the 2 that came with the projector). I have gotten them 'sort of' focused on my ceiling. I wanted them to cover as much of the ceiling as possible (standard 8' ceiling) so I put the projector on the floor, albeit at an angle because of the length of the cord and I didn't want anyone tripping on it. No matter what I do with the focus ring I cannot get the kind of clarity that they show on Amazon for any of my disks. They aren't 'bad' but they also aren't crisp like the photos. Is this me or is this just the way it is? if so I have to admit to a certain amount of disappointment. So this is partly a question/review of the disks and partly a question/review of the projector.
