**Q: How many bags would I need for a 1/2 acre pond?**
A: 1. We have 3/4 acre pond and one was enough

**Q: I’m developing a natural spring and want this to seal the dam used to collect the spring water. Can I mix up the clay and apply it?**
A: I bought it to use as mortar for a 200 yo stone lined well. Although I have received the clay i have not yet researched the proper mix ratio when used for my situation which seems slightly different then yours: Dam seal vs mortar.

**Q: Can benseal be broadcast on water surface and left to sink to seal or does the pond have to be drained and the benseal worked into the dirt?**
A: My understanding is that it can be broadcast.  If there is a leak the bentonite will go with the flow of the water and seal it.  We used it to seal leaks around a dam and poured it in with water flowing through the leaks and it worked great.  The water at the dam was only 2 - 3' deep.  I hope this helps.

**Q: When buying by the ton, how is it delivered? In 40+ #50 bags or in a much larger package?**
A: yes that would be 40 50# bags..

Product works when used right. Too expensive to be practical. I paid 103 for a 50 lb bag. I found a well drilling man that sold me 50 lb bags for 25.00 each I just had to go get it. Find a well drilling person in your area. Keep in mind it will NOT work on top of a plastic liner. It has to mix with the soil regardless what someone tells you to make the sale.
