Backpack support is very comfortable and lush, and when I need to hang the bag to my side while commuting on the train it's super easy to access like a shoulder back would. I will say, definitely read the directions first because the bag has some specific nuances to it functioning correctly. But once you get it it's great.6month follow up. Love the idea of the bag but the execution needs some work. I'm one who loves things snug and to fit proper, so this back is lacking a bit. The mechanism doesn't seem to perform as expected when holding the back in the locked position (with a 15" laptop). The cord system releases and allows the back to hang 3-5 inches from the harness creating this sag and sway result. I've contacted wolffe pack about this and they said that this result is normal (funny they leave this result off the advert or disclaimer). This has made he bag a frustration to sit where I would like it to which has resulted in me finding creative ways of affixing the bag to stay tight to the harnes via button and cord (because I still like the aspect of orbiting the bag). Next step I'm going to try a clear somewhere but never the less nearly 200$ for a bag these are things I should not be worrying about. Be aware!Final update, Be aware of this retailer and this bag manufacturer. After 6 months of owning the bag and it breaking I proceeded a warranty exchange request as I was well within the 1year from this seller and the Lifetime claimed by the manufacturer. After a hefty back and forth I was denied my warranty claim process based off the review of a photo and discussion with the manufacturer. If you do get a warranty from them it will most likely be on a case by case basis of never. I was also thinking about the potential benefits around security when riding public transportation. Here's my disappointment... the mechanism to lift (and hold) the back pack in place stops working well if the pack is full. I placed my computer and iPad in it with other items and it became too heavy to easily lift back up.
