I immediately put it into a skar enclosure which I love (link below) it was a perfect fit, no cutting needed. I've had 6 different sub setups ranging from 2 8s, all the way to two 12s. This sub is my first high quality sub and holy cow there's a huge difference between this sub and the other ones I've had. I'm convinced, I will never buy a cheaper brand ever. This thing will confuse people into thinking it's a low end 12 easy. That being said, I didn't want anything too crazy, Its my daily and I wanted something that wouldn't take the whole trunk up (I already have an air tank for my bags) and I wanted something that could be removed easy if I needed the space in a jam. This sub delivers, small in size, and powerful in performance. This sub sounds so good, I didn't even know a sub can sound any better than a cheap one sounds. This 8 was the perfect addition to my otherwise stock system. It's worth every penny and more. I put one of these in a custom enclosure, it's coming up on 6 years now that I've had it, and I have abused the absolute heck out of it. I've ran it above it's RMS power A LOT, had it in a trunk being tossed around with car parts and tools, let it sit in less than ideal conditions, it became a scratching post for my cats, and it just won't stop pumping out strong and consistent bass. The surround is still stout, all of the stitching is completely in tact, no adhesive has came loose, there's zero corrosion on the magnet, and all of the connections are clean. It's sitting in my living room for now for fun, but it will eventually find it's way back into another car. I will keep using this thing until it completely fails. Really, you can be between 400 to 800 watts RMS safely, depending on your enclosure and what you're trying to do. Our only suggestion is to stick with a high quality amp, so the sub can perform it's best. We've had great results with the SAE-600D. They take it no problem. I think a true 2500 watt amp would be perfect for two sa8s. I would YouTube whatever amp you are going to buy.
