The inserts actually improved the fit a bit. 5. The leather parts look shineable. They'll look great with a decent polish. 6. The zipper on the side is nice but unnecessary: I find it easier just use the laces when putting them on. The zippers on both boots were a little sticky from a drop of glue that had oozed onto them. No big deal, I just scraped the glue and dangling threads off and they worked fine. Not worth returning them over it. Overall, I really like these boots. I’ve had them for about 5 months and I’ve probably worn them for 500-600 hours. I work in EMS and here’s my thoughts The good: The price is unbeatable Quite comfortable and good support Side sipper makes putting them on easy The bad: The in-sole started coming apart after about 300 hours of wearing them The stitching on the heel came apart after about 500 hours. The sole is plastic and will get permanently shaped if bent, making them uncomfortable Overall it’s not bad quality.
