So during a recent spate of really cold weather, I found myself looking all over the place for a rake I could use in our wood stove when it is blazin' hot, without singeing my knuckles every time. This is the ONE! The long handle makes for safe and easy use, and the nicely finished wood grip is big enough so that you can use both hands, if necessary.Materials and craftsmanship are top notch - FAR superior to any import product I have found.Made in USA and the 15% donation to charity are a bonus!I'd recommend this for anybody using a fireplace or wood stove. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Pricy but Perfect *by M***W on Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2014* I got this to use for my wood stove, and I am quite pleased with it. For starters, both the steel handle and rake head are nice and sturdy and stand up well to my use. The head is a good size, 7” wide by 3½” deep; fits well in the crannies of the stove interior. Head to handle it is about 34” long, a good length for me as I barely need to stoop to use it. I use the tine side to rake and rearrange hot coals, and the flat side of the head to scrape ash through the ash grate when cleaning out the stove.
