Could this be avoided by being upside down a couple days before opening?** A: I don't know why it should .Oil will come to the top but I can't see why salt should. I bought it twice and both times there were lumps of heavy salt concentration in the bottom one third . **Q: Is there any trace of other tree nuts aside from cashews?** A: There's a notice on the bottle about the product being processed in a plant that also processes peanuts and soy and there may be trace amounts of other tree nuts in the product. There's a slight hint of salt that enhances the taste but certainly nothing overpowering. The best part is that this does not separate. It stays creamy and ready to go and is a great consistency and easily spreadable. The jar, while not large, is a good size for at least a week of daily sandwiches or use on toast.Overall, that is a great cashew butter and I definitely recommend it.Update: I am now on my third jar of this and it is still excellent quality. One jar did have the salt settle to the bottom so the last inch or so was a bit saltier, but it was not overwhelming. Cashews have a naturally sweet taste that can only be duplicated in peanuts by adding sugar.It's so hard to stay away from the jar that I have to hide it from myself in the back of the cupboard. Since it's so pricey, I'll probably start buying lower quality cashews and grinding my own cashew butter.
