If is fast enough cutting for me . Battery life seems good ...I haven't run a pack dead yet and it comes with two packs. Mine had oil residue on the handle ....I had to carefully wash it because I didn't like the smell on my hand . It is a smart tool . It closes when turned off which covers the sharp edge of the blade . It also stops and opens if it can't complete the cut . I've pulled the trigger again yo finish a thick cut that aborted the first time . I think it's a good value for the price .
